All Might Rising – The Peace of a Symbol
Nana Shimura discharges her young student in July and asks Gran Torino to attend to his needs. She is threatened by All For One, who wants to use all of his strength to end her final stand. As Toshinori screams for his master, Gran Torino takes off with him. After saying a few last words of encouragement and pointing at him, Nana leaves, and All For One thanks her for the "entertainment," before she is gone in a burst of light that obliterates the island.
At 18, Toshinori Yagi had to bid his mentor farewell. Gran Torino gives Toshinori a severe pounding while training him indoors amid a downpour, reminding the young hero that he cannot defeat All For One despite his emotions. Unable to do anything to save his motherly figure, Toshinori weeps and laments her passing. After graduating from U.A., Gran Torino advises Toshinori to move to America so that he will be beyond All For One's grasp. Nana gave her life because she trusted in his abilities, he reminded him.
After graduating in the spring, Toshinori goes to America. He puts on his master's trademark smile and straightens his hair. He declares that he will return to Japan only after he has fully recovered; only then will he be able to declare, "I am here!"
