After being vanquished by the heroine Emilia Justinia, the dreaded Demon Lord Satan of Ente Isla was forced to flee to Earth.
He now goes by the nickname "Sadao Maou" and is responsible for supporting his former generals, Lucifer and Alciel, who joined him in Japan.
The appearance of the archangel Gabriel threatens their ability to live normally when Emi reluctantly agrees to care for Alas Ramus.

Chiho Sasaki
Chiho is a strong-willed, courteous, amiable, and pleasant person all around. She is so in love with Sadao Maou that she occasionally becomes envious when she sees him with Emi Yusa.
She works part-time at McDonald's, where he first met her father after arriving on Earth and being seen loitering by her father, a police officer.
Hanzou Urushihara
Lucifer is depicted as having a crafty, sly nature. He yells at people because he has a quick temper.
He is a slacker who doesn't even glance up from his computer to eat, yet simultaneously expects Ashiya and Sadao to serve him well-prepared meals.
Suzuno Kamazuki
Suzuno initially thinks of Villa Rosa Sasazuka's demons as friendly and considerate neighbors. Despite appearing friendly, she was pulling a clever ruse to get near the Demon King so she could kill him.
Crestia Bell was demonstrated to be a skilled actor despite acquiring outdated information about the culture, language, and customs of contemporary Japanese society.
Alas Ramus
For Alas Ramus, there is essentially no difference between a typical toddler and a piece of Yesod. She considers those nearby to be her family (calling Emi her mamma, Maou her papa, and Chiho and Suzuno her big sisters).
She is particularly attached to Maou and Emi and frequently sobs or complains when they are not present.
